Waiting lane

2018
First settling in to a new place brings always bittersweet feelings. There’s no real destination to get to. You are floating in between sweet loneliness and sad lonesomeness.
In February 2018 I moved to Krakow. It had been 12 years since the first time I had moved away from my home. Again in a new environment and surrounded by a new language. The beginning of living in a new place is the sweetest. Your eyes are so open, you notice everything that soon becomes everyday and ordinary.
The work consists of photographs or a girl, Anna, whose daily doings I was following and of an experimental video. Anna moved to Krakow roughly the same time as myself. Looking at her, I soon realized that it might as well be myself who I am looking at.

The work was exhibited as part of Krakow Photomonth 2018 in Jan Matejko Academy of Art students group exhibition.
